The blurriness is from upscaling, which those old systems didn't have to do thanks to the screens of the time. They might only have been outputting like 256x224 on the SNEs, but it didn't get all blurry from upscaling it to a 720p screen - maybe it got a bit 'fatter' compared to the Genesis, but that's it. Those images were crisp as they could be. This is def not the best settings for performance. As far as I know dont think so since it's a global setting from the emulator but there's a Hotkey to change the dock mode from what i see on the setting with Plus+Dpad Up (so sandwich bouton near your right stick and dpad up).
